Job offer: Head Logistics - Mumbai

Our client is a leading manufacturer specialising in bulk and packaged chemicals and gases, catering to a wide range of industries both domestically and internationally. Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO), you will:

• Lead all surface transportation, warehousing, and site logistics operations across multiple sites, managing both inbound and outbound logistics for bulk and tanker operations.
• Oversee a team of 4 Site Logistics Heads and manage logistics procurement, ensuring competitive rates through negotiations with Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
• Ensure optimal performance of 3PL service providers through regular audits, benchmarking, and addressing non-conformance issues.
• Streamline logistics processes to meet customer and company requirements, focusing on cost optimisation and EXIM procedures.
• Implement and lead digitisation projects in logistics to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvements.
• Ensure adherence to corporate objectives, focusing on safety, Care compliance, and best practices in logistics.
• Provide leadership and develop strategies to scale up existing business while preparing to succeed in leadership roles in the broader Supply Chain function.

• A MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations, with a minimum of 15 + of leadership experience in logistics, including transportation and warehousing in a manufacturing setup. CPIM/APICS certification is preferred.
• Proven multi-site management experience in hazardous goods logistics, including chemicals, petrochemicals, or gas.
• Extensive experience in logistics procurement, 3PL management, and cost optimisation across diverse transportation modes.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and lead digitisation initiatives in logistics.
