Bihar State Sports Academy - Patna

The Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA), established as an autonomous body on March 25, 2023, under the Society Registration Act (21) 1860, is dedicated to the comprehensive development of sports and athletes in Bihar. Its primary mission is to identify, nurture, and provide platforms for talented athletes across the state through various training camps and initiatives. BSSA collaborates with state sports associations, coaches, and district sports officials to formulate policies that benefit sports and athletes. BSSA has set up training facilities for various sports such as volleyball, kabaddi, javelin throw, archery, and chess at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna. The organization also hosts events of all the popular games showcasing its commitment to sports development in Bihar.
