In 1980, when a young science graduate from a business family in Kolkata, Mr Kailash Pat Agarwal, with a few years of experience in Gray cast iron castings, dared to venture out on his own,

It did not take very long for the company to excel under his stewardship and soon the company became a name to be reckoned with in the manufacture of Railway Sleeper Castings. It was in fact one of the leading suppliers to the railway industry of the Indian Govt. sector, as well as a mass supplier of line materials to the Department of Telecommunication (D.O.T) in India. Besides the Government Sector the company was also into manufacturing and exporting, of sanitary castings, in a big way and catered to a global market, covering countries in the United States
